Your wedding day is about experiencing all the moments. The major ones and the quiet intimate ones.

 Your day will flow the way you want it to. Will we take portraits? Why yes, because that is the only time of your wedding that is carved out where you two can just enjoy each other. I'll be there to guide you. Place you in a spot that will create a great image, then let you interact with each other. No "hold it and smile" type of moments, but organic and candid memories of swaying in each others arms. I let you be you, and give a little help when I know a slight movement will make the image even better (you know, that whole looking fabulous part?!)

The rest of your day, I capture what happens organically and unobtrusively. Always watching and anticipating the moments to come. Being a fly on the wall, watching and capturing.

There are amazing moments that will happen through out the entire day from when you are in the makeup chair sipping a mimosa with your besties to when you are packed in on the dance floor dancing along to "I gotta feeling" by the Black Eye Peas. 

The day should unfold naturally, and not stuffed within an alotted time that your photographer will be there. This is why I do full day coverage. You'll have memories to smile on from that first mimosa to the dance floor. You'll smile, laugh and remember the relationships you've made through the years.

After all the "main" events have happened and into about 30 minutes into dancing I'll connect with you and make sure there are no more group photos of important people you want photos with, and I'll head out before things get that special amount of drunk where people don't want photo documentation :) 

 Enjoy your day, live the moments and know that they will be there for you to look back whenever you want them.

While you know that your wedding day is going to be a whirlwind, you want to enjoy all of it. 

10 years of documenting these whirlwind days has made me attuned to what is going to happen next to help you stay on schedule, know when to hurry, and when you have a moment or two to sip some champagne.

I work great with your planner (if you have one!) helping keep the day moving. It is truly a team effort to make sure you enjoy yourself the most you possibly can.

There are times when the light is great, and times when it's grey and flat. A grey day shouldn't affect the beauty of the images created for you, that's what lighting is for.

My training in commercial photography, and my years working in fashion and catalog studios on top of 10 years of weddings has trained me to not only be able to create beautiful light when the circumstances don’t give it to us, but to do it quickly and unobtrusively. Creating dynamic images while you twirl in the twilight.

Another value of working in the fashion industry is years of studying how models move their bodies in relationship to the camera. I know how to pose you to highlight your favorite feature, diminish your least favorite and present you at your best. All making you look comfortable, natural and engaged. Posing you while you don't look or feel posed, that's my specialty.

Once I became a mom, it really hit home to me how important your wedding is to your parents too.

You, as my clients are my main concern, but there is no getting around that your wedding day is a big day for others in your family too. Your mom may have certain photos she’d love to have, as well as your cousin who’s family never gets dressed up. If people want quick portraits during the cocktail hour or reception, I’m happy to create beautiful memories for them as well. This is one of the reasons I can bring a second photographer, so we can not only capture the organic moments happening through the day, but the details and the requested photos as well.
